Pastor Maulin Herring

Pastor Maulin Chris Herring has more than 29 years in the public safety field as a practitioner, professor and consultant. He currently serves as the Executive Director of the Institute for Homeland Security and Workforce Development and as a visiting professor at North Carolina Central University. He progressed in the Public Safety field from a Public Safety Officer; Police Sergeant; Parking Control Coordinator; Support Services Manager; Director of the North Carolina Center for Community Policing to Police Chief.

For more than 24 years, Pastor Herring has taught at the college level in the disciplines of fire control, criminal justice, public administration and sociology. He has served as an independent consultant, providing training to numerous communities and law enforcement agencies throughout the United States. He earned a B.A. Degree in Political Science and holds Masters Degrees in Public Administration, Sociology, Human Services, and Divinity. Pastor Herring earned a Doctorate of Ministry degree in 2014.

Pastor Herring was licensed as a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ in 2005, and ordained by the N. C. Rowan Baptist Association in 2007. Reverend Herring was elevated to Elder at Cup of Salvation Deliverance Church & Ministries in 2010 and installed as an Associate Pastor in 2012. He now serves as the Pastor of International Ministries and the Director of the Teaching and Discipleship Ministry.
