And there came an angel of the Lord, and sat under an oak which was in Ophrah, that pertained unto Joash the Abiezrite:and his son Gideon threshed wheat by the winepress, to hide it from the Midianites. And the angel of the Lord appeared unto him, and said unto him, The Lord is with thee, thou mighty man of valour. And Gideon said unto him, Oh my Lord, if the Lord be with us, why then is all this befallen us? and where be all his miracles which our fathers told us of, saying, Did not the Lord bring us up from Egypt? but now the Lord hath forsaken us, and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites. And the Lord looked upon him, and said, Go in this thy might, and thou shalt save Israel from the hand of the Midianites:have not I sent thee? And he said unto him, Oh my Lord,... Continue >

(John 4:7-19) There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water:Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink. (For his disciples were gone away unto the city to buy meat.) Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans. Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water. The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep:from whence then hast thou that living water? Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle?... Continue >

We are often paralyzed by events that didn’t really even occur the way in which we remember them; because too often our hurt defines our reality while dismissing the promises of God as something that happens most often to other people. In short our hurt often comes between God and us. Notice that I referred to hurt as our hurt, because hurt is not something that God will share with us. Hurt is not of God; therefore, hurt is ungodly. Anything ungodly can be either satanic or demonic.
(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; (2 Cor. 10:4-5)

If you want to be released from anything you personally have to disagree with whatever it is that is trying to hold or oppress you. You have to vocally, mentally, emotionally and spiritually disagree with it. You have to call it out and then throw it out. You have to divorce the devil before he will leave you; and he may require an official, divorce settlement. But before you can do any of that, you must divorce everything in your life that prevents you from thanking God the way you know you should. You must divorce everything that prevents you from giving God the glory hearing you thank Him properly.
The bible says that the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds. Casting down vain imaginations that prevent us from... Continue >

For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me. (Job 3:25)
Frustration and disappointment are emotions that most of us fear/ hate the most. Yet, we find that it comes upon us even when we feel that we have done nothing to invite either of them into our lives. If spiritual maturity is the ability to think, speak and act on our feelings within the bounds of the dignity of the Holy Spirit, then the true measure of such maturity is how spiritual we are in the midst of frustration.
How spiritual are you the midst of your frustrations? Are you spiritually-minded when you are stuck in traffic or do you think, speak or act out of impatience? Are you able to maintain the mind of Christ when a lazy co-worker gets the promotion you’ve... Continue >
