Apostles Corner > Introduction
January 27, 2011
Cup of Salvation Deliverance Church (CSDC) is a ministry of excellence with an apostolic mantle of warfare and deliverance. We are extremely kingdom-minded. In fact, it could easily be asserted that our main apostolic focus is to reveal the kingdom of God to an unbelieving world. To accomplish this goal, we recognize that we must rely heavily upon every aspect of the fivefold ministry. Therefore, we support and encourage all characteristics and gifts of the fivefold ministry; and we are completely willing to use whatever God sends us for the edification and glory of His kingdom. It must also be noted that we recognize that Satan sends impostor and fraudulent gifts; we reject them completely and cast them aside without delay.
The Ecclesiastical Council oversees the spiritual atmosphere of the church and the individual growth opportunities for our members. The Ecclesiastical Council is a diverse but unified team of ministers who prays unity; preaches unity; and practices unity. Unity is both our risk and our reward. It is also our strength. We believe that “the strength of the pack is the wolf, but the strength of the wolf is the pack.”
Vision and Mission of the Ministry
Cup of Salvation Deliverance Church & Ministries is a pillar of the church community in Durham, NC. As such, what we do and how we do it is extremely important. We feel that we must both correctly comprehend God’s will for our church and efficiently fulfill those plans. Further, we must perform in a biblically sound and spiritually effective manner at all times. Our goal is to see ourselves and have others see us in the following light:
CSDC is an apostolically oriented “demand ministry”, in that we demand righteousness and holy lifestyles of ourselves. We acknowledge that God deserves our very best and we commit to giving Him what He deserves.
CSDC is prophetically oriented, in that our preaching and teaching exhorts, encourages and edifies God’s people to understand Him and what He expects of us. The prophetic is given to improve our ability to see God’s perspective. Therefore, as a last day’s ministry of warfare and deliverance our prophetic vision and mission is to enhance our hindsight (to see from whence we came); to utilize insight (to evaluate where we are); and to develop foresight (to see where we are going).
As such, we have carved out a neighboring territory for which we claim total spiritual accountability and named it the Lazarus Territory. We will win that territory for God as our Jerusalem Mission. We have also attached ourselves to other likeminded churches to win the Research Triangle Area back to God as our Judea Mission. To date, we have established the first of many outpost ministries in Kisii, Kenya (Cup of Salvation Kenya) as our Uttermost Parts of the Earth Mission. We are very serious about evangelism.
CSDC is pastorally oriented in that our pastors and ministers assume direct responsibility for our membership and our membership assumes direct responsibility for the spiritual territory for which we are accountable to God. Our pastors are completely accountable to the Senior Pastor and Apostle of the House. As such, they hold all of the members equally accountable to them for the manner in which they live and express their Christian commitment. Our pastors aren’t dictators or lords over the people; rather, they are encouragers, supporters and undergirders of God’s people. We truly have pastors after God’s own heart.
CSDC is teaching oriented, in that we share the gospel comprehensively and accurately with all who will hear it. Our goal is to effectively minister the whole word of God, so that God’s people may operate with both balance and clarity. Our teaching creates and develops standards for God’s people to live by, so that they may express their love for Him by the conversation of their lives. Our doctrinal teaching creates opportunities for God’s people to walk into their destinies. Destiny is a big issue for us both individually and collectively.
We are convinced that our future will not only be shaped, but measured, by the standards we set for ourselves as individuals and for the ministry as a whole. As a result, we demand the following of ourselves:
- Excellence - in our business dealings and professionalism in our communications
- Expression - of Christ-likeness in our relationships with one another
- Experience - in our worship, prayer and praise that promotes the presence of God
- Exactness - in our teaching and preaching according to the word and the will of God
- Excitement - in our services that we may leave different than when we entered
As the Senior Pastor of this great church, I require a very high level of commitment, integrity and excellence from the leadership and the members as it pertains to seeking and serving the Lord. We have a spiritual zeal to release our community from the oppressive hand of the enemy. We want the victory and we are willing to show up for the battle.
We will demonstrate that ours is a ministry of strength; and that we are equipped with talent in both our ecclesiastical and corporate affairs. We are endued with operable gifts under the control of the Holy Spirit, power in our prayer and fasting, authority in our praise and worship and an anointing upon our ministry so that saints and sinners might believe that the power of God is not only able through His Spirit but available through us, his people.
We will continue to align ourselves with other like-minded ministries and be revealed as a ministry of example and exhortation. We will collaborate and cooperate with one another and with our external affiliates to accomplish the will of the Lord for our region and the world. We will continue our strategic program of prayer, praise and worship designed to destroy every yoke of oppression that would hinder God’s plan for total domination.
The prevailing themes of our ministry are love, trust, submission, obedience and fellowship. We live those themes in every aspect of our public and private lives and we will transport the fruit of those themes as we go out to evangelize the will of God to all who will hear. We will continue to reach out to other churches, to communities and to governments. We will confirm our identity and mission; demonstrate our love and commitment and reveal our power and authority. In short, we will perform the will of God to the utmost.
Our future is called destiny; and our belief and hope in our destiny is characterized by the values we express in our everyday lifestyles. Cup of Salvation Deliverance Church is and always will be a last day’s apostolic church of warfare and deliverance. That is our vision; that is our mission; that is our destiny.
